Specialists of the Department of computer systems University of Bristol (UK) showed the world prototypes of mobile phones that are able to transform.
The proposed concept is called Magree: it involves the creation of devices that can bend and change shape depending on the tasks that the user performs. The design of the gadgets can use alloys with shape memory, flexible screens with a plastic substrate, electroactive polymers, and other materials.
The authors argue that flexible electronics opens user new opportunities. For example, dealing with sensitive data, the case of the device will bend in such a way that appears to make the information unreadable to prying eyes. And in game mode gadget transformirovalsya so that it was comfortable to hold with two hands.
