Difficult enough is the situation in the middle East and Asia. Experts from the Lancaster Institute in the UK measured the amount of air pollutants and the degree of their penetration into the house next to the roads. The experiments were carried out on the territory of Lancaster — about houses have established special devices which collected data on the concentration of iron particles.
Once measurements were made, the experts found a "living" fence, planted 30 white birch trees. After 13 days, re-took the readings. It became clear that trees help reduce the concentration of metal particles at 52-65%.
