What lamps light up houses and streets today?
That lights homes and streets today? First, incandescent — hungry and dull (well if 15 lumens per watt) which produce more heat than light (98% isoltema energy heats the air!). Secondly, energy saving light bulbs, which complete the shelves: often referred to as small fluorescent lamps (CFLs or CFL in English terminology), which is quite bright, and economical (60 lumens per watt), but expensive and short-lived (theoretically can work at home almost a decade, but in fact — God forbid that lasted a year).
By comparison, the led wins on all counts. It does not contain harmful material, so the production and disposal safe. It will last as long (from 25 to 70 thousand hours and more) that don't usually work to consider how many decades it can illuminate the house, and say it's just running forever!

It is even more economical than fluorescent energy-saving light bulbs: with the return of light from 40 to 80 lumens per watt and better led generates half the heat. And the light gives a more natural: white LEDs (which work through the mixing of primary colors) give a range and tone can be set according to your preferences.
