Open House is an amazing vertical village in Korea

Nestled in amongst the trees in Anyang, Korea, Open House is an amazing vertical village with five levels and twenty domobrani mini-rooms. Like the house on the tree — there's a whole universe is all that is needed for the community — from bike rental shop to a children's Playground, pavilion, vegetable garden, workshop, recycling, green home, public gardens and tea room. But the most surprising fact is definitely the fact that it was all created by the hands of the community. More than 200 residents of the village of Anyang together, built and set it all up with your hands.

Open House (Open House) was designed "raumlaborkorea" (by the community), and celebrated its Grand opening last month. But it is not technically “complete” — and that's the point! Raumlaborkorea intention for the village was a deliberate preservation, development and growth over the years in response to the needs of Anyang as a type of "social sculpture." While it may seem like just a building on the street (although one of the most intriguing), Open House — really "self-contained laboratory, with constant development in the creation and transformation for the collective research of the open community."

In addition to the community-run greenhouse, Open House will have many programmed spaces, including the office of real estate Open House, "anchae" (women's conversation room called Room of One's Own), an art Studio and seminar, bar, tea room, games, kitchen, farm and other buildings. Each of these areas is open to the public for use and enjoyment by them at seminars, film screenings, performances, concerts, parties and art exhibitions.
