Rare and beautiful natural phenomenon — a thick fog in the Grand Canyon




 

Due to special weather conditions last week in the Grand Canyon were observed a rare natural phenomenon caused by temperature inversion. Last Friday and then on Sunday, the ground at the bottom of the Grand Canyon is too rapidly cooled, resulting in the formed a thick fog, which was trapped under a layer of warm air in the atmosphere above the canyon. This phenomenon happens about once a decade.
