In the UK, there is a "city of Wikipedia"
The small town of Monmouth in the County of Wales in the UK was the world's first "city-Wikipedia". The town, home to slightly more than 8,800 people, anyone can scan QR-codes, located around the perimeter to find out information about the local people and sights of the city.
Monmouthpedia project covers the whole city. Tourists who visited Monmouth, will be able to read the information in their own language and edit information as well as Wikipedia.
The project has led to all local residents, volunteers and many companies to the creation of hundreds of articles in 25 different languages, ranging from Latin to Esperanto and the Hungarian and Hindi.
Organizers used four types of QR-codes: large ceramic or metal plates for open areas; small objects, not directly related to the town of Monmouth, such as a guide to the flora and fauna; as well as stickers for shop windows, information posters, signs and tablets with inscriptions.
