Perhaps the universe is not expanding

Physicists and astronomers regularly question the existing model of the universe. Ever since Edwin Hubble in the 1920s proved that the universe is constantly changing, scientists do not cease to put forward new and new hypotheses about what is happening with the stars and galaxies.

Hubble used in their studies the most powerful (at the time) the world's 100-inch Hooker telescope, located in the Mount Wilson Observatory near Los Angeles. With the help of the Hubble analyzed the frequency of the emission and absorption of particles and galaxies discovered that the radiation has gradually shifted to the red part of the spectrum.

The astronomer concluded that this is because galaxies are moving away from us (about the same way as changing the pitch of a passing car). The revolutionary idea, first of all, to say that at the dawn of its existence, the universe was much denser.

Professor Christoph Vetter of the University of Heidelberg, Germany, based on their own observations and data collected by Hubble, has developed his own theory.

Since the frequency of radiation of atoms depends not only on the distance to the observer, but also on the mass of the atoms, Vetter suggested that changes not the distance to galaxies and the mass of the matter of which they are composed. If the mass of the atoms increases the frequency of the emission and absorption of the particles is shifted toward the blue end of the spectrum, and, on the contrary, at lower weight (ie, reduction of energy) radiation will be "blush».

If the mass of matter in the universe is constantly growing, the emission of old galaxies to an observer will be shifted to the red part of the spectrum, because we see only the distant past of galaxies and stars, when their weight was lower than the present, and in this case, the farther the facility is located, the greater the observed displacement.

Professor Vetter said that while none of his famous colleagues could not find a flaw in his calculations.

Christoph Vetter says that future studies will show whether the true concept of Hubble's classic "Receding" galaxies, or the whole thing in the growth of the mass of matter. However, the professor admits that the development of the universe - it is the combination of these two factors.
