Cindrom Lazarus sudden resurrection after death

The man came back to life after half an hour after it was recognized mёrtvym

23-year-old Michael Wilkinson came back to life after half an hour after doctors declared him dead - a rare phenomenon known as Lazarus Syndrome. February 1 Wilkinson was declared dead members of the Royal Preston Hospital, but after 30 minutes the doctors noticed that his pulse was resumed. The man was still alive for the next two days, after which the doctors pronounced him dead for the second time - trying to bring it back to life with the help of the resuscitation were unsuccessful.



The syndrome was named in honor of the biblical story in which Lazarus was raised from the dead by Jesus. The world knows only 38 reported cases. John Whittaker, a doctor of the Royal Preston hospital from the emergency department, said that to recognize the patient's dead - that's not a small thing, doctors need to be absolutely sure. In the case of Wilkinson doctors tried to revive him for 15 minutes before pronounced dead, and pulse resumed because the entered patient medications.

Mr Wilkinson, a roofer, was found dead on February 3 second. His mother, 44-year-old Susan Horrigan said that she felt as if her son returned, only to pick up again.

Wilkinson passed out after drinking with his family a certain amount of alcohol. However, tests revealed that alcohol played no role in the incident, and the autopsy revealed that the second ventricle had an abnormal thickening. The medical record contains death by natural causes.
