Theft beach - is unauthorized and illegal export of large amounts of sand from the beach leading to the complete or partial disappearance of the beach. This occurs on a small scale around the world, but hardly anyone is doing it on a large scale.

Not so long ago were widely covered beach two thefts, one in Hungary on an artificial beach, the second - in Jamaica on a natural beach. According to reports in Jamaica has been stolen 500 trucks of sand, and no one noticed.

The beach was stolen in Coral Springs County Trelawny, Jamaica. Jamaica's Prime Minister Bruce Golding took a personal interest in the case and ordered to submit a report as such a huge amount of sand could be stolen, taken away and presumably sold.

However, after three months of investigation, the police could not find any clues. Some believe that there is collusion between criminals and some police officers, but the Jamaican police deny it.
