The epidemic is spreading! Bill Gates made a major donation to the fight against the Ebola virus.

The spread of deadly Ebola virus in Africa, has long gone out of control. The name of this terrible disease comes from the place where the virus was first discovered - near the Ebola River in Zaire. The number of deaths from the disease are still growing. The worst thing is that the special treatment or the Ebola vaccine it still does not exist. None of the big pharmaceutical corporations hesitates to invest in the development of a vaccine against this virus, as it is unprofitable to them.

But the fight against the deadly fever found large sums of support in the face of the world-famous billionaire Bill Gates.

Charity Foundation Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has allocated $ 50 million to fight the virus outbreak in West Africa. This is the largest donation in the history of the fund!

As representatives of the Fund, the funds were sent to the United Nations and other international organizations involved in the fight against the deadly virus. All the money will be used to study the disease and the purchase of medicines for the victims. $ 5 million has gone to fund the World Health Organization (WHO), while another $ 5 million have been delivered to regions with a large number of victims of the disease: in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.

The largest donation was made by Bill Gates after UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called on all international organizations to help and to collect about $ 600 million to combat the spread of the disease in West Africa.

In a report published on September 5 WHO reported the average number of deaths from the disease, accounting for 53%. The total number of cases reached 3944, while the number of deaths from infection of approximately 2079 people.

We must not close our eyes to these global problems. Not all of us are destined to be Bill Gates. Do good smaller scale, and you will see - the world would be much better! Tell us about the problem other indifferent!
