Now the authorities have gradually soften the conditions of access for local residents - inhibitions as before, there is no longer any.

Moreover, there are access points at several locations. Even more plan to add soon. However, access costs $ 4 per hour, on average, is more than can afford the average local. Recently, the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba announced that from January 2016 the universities of the island will be linked fiber.

Already we have fiber between Bayamo and Siboney, between Granma and Manzanillo. And should pave the optics between Pinar del Rio and satellite earth station (and there are such in Cuba) in Havana.
