Needles Isle of Wight
This place is a somewhat chalky massifs, towering over the sea, near the western tip of the British Isle of Wight. Originally, there were four "needle", but now there are only three.
The fact that the largest array of chalk, and the highest at the same time, was destroyed by a powerful storm that occurred in 1764. Based on historical records, the drop could be heard even at a distance of a few tens of kilometers away from this place. Highest needle still called Lot's wife, by analogy with the Biblical story where a woman was turned into a pillar of salt. In 1859, the year near the rocks appeared lighthouse, and themselves the "needle" become recognizable landmark of the Isle of Wight.
