Traditions of the University of St Andrews

October 20, 2014 in St Andrews, Scotland raisin students said Monday. This event is a tradition at the University: Every year in the school conduct "raisin Monday", in which first-year students have to thank the senior students for tuition. Before expressing his respects, newcomers, students gave undergraduates pound of raisins, now this ritual was replaced by a bottle of wine and dousing each other with foam.
