Oculus Rift and STEM. Reality lightsabers and battle for the Galaxy

Well, the only virtual reality, you know. The other day, a presentation of the system from the company STEM Sixense, which shows what can happen if you combine motion-controllers and Oculus Rift.

And get very realistic likeness of lightsabers from "Star Wars", with the same color, sound and smell of the size. So you can beat a sword flying in a player objects, and perform other actions stipulated by the creators of this virtual reality.

STEM was developed by Sixense as a new gaming platform for video games. The player can use the five motion-controllers, each of which performs a specific function. Except the controller, you will be able to see in virtual reality and their own hands, which are tracked by the system (by the controller).

As we see, the gamer took two controllers and the system immediately recognizes the position of the player's hand, and display them in a virtual reality.

STEM System - an open system, for which the company has prepared SDK (for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux). So that third-party developers can easily create something of their own, increasing the overall functionality of the system.

In general, everything is fine, except, perhaps, the price (well, everything can not be good). STEM with two controllers worth $ 299, three - and five 389.99 - 579.99.
