Journey to the remains of the ship "Baron Gaucho"
August 13, 2014 will mark the hundredth anniversary of the crash of a passenger ship "Baron Gaucho." On the occasion of the anniversary of Croatia held commemorative events, including divers dive to the wreck.
"Baron Gaucho" made flight from Kotor (Montenegro) along the coast of Istria. Along the shores of Rovinj (Croatia) the ship was in the area of the minefield. Captain, not wanting to waste time on tour, took a chance and lost his life 147 people. On board were 306 passengers of the crew, the Austro-Hungarian soldiers and tourists, many of whom were women and children.
It is worth noting that the disaster is credited to one of the greatest disasters that have occurred with the fleet since the existence of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
