Scaly lizards

One of the rarest animals of the Earth can be called pangolin. These animals belonging to the order of placental mammals, easily confused with armadillos. But despite the resemblance, they are quite different. Second name pangolin - lizards. Zoologists distinguish eight kinds of pangolin one half lives in Southeast Asia, the other - in Equatorial and Southern Africa. The skin is covered with lizards movable scales, employees with protective armor. Pangolin lack teeth, but can boast huge claws resembling excavators, and a long tongue and tail. In case of danger as they curl up into a ball, from which it gets its name «pengguling» - Malay "roll up into a ball." Only eat ants and termites.
