Cutie moray
Even among disreputable moray eels, these toothy predator - one of the most dangerous and menacing in appearance. We are talking about the saber-toothed morays (lat. Enchelycore anatina), living in the eastern Atlantic Ocean: in the Canary Islands and the Azores, near the island of St. Helena, and off the coast of Madeira.
Secretive and slow, these ocean predator hiding in narrow crevices of rocks and coral reefs to a depth of 60 meters, spending the whole day light hours. Sticking
head out, they drive it from side to side, looking for prey swims by, and at nightfall leave the shelter to go hunting.
Because of the wide black strips scattered yellow torso, saber-toothed moray was nicknamed "tiger moray».
As with the first name, it very accurately describes her character and appearance: this ruthless predator, which grows up to 120 cm in length, armed with two rows of razor-sharp and clear as glass, teeth. Most of them are long and narrow, higher than 2.5 cm, alternate with short and wide.
