Startup Fuffr introduced the concept of the cover for your smartphone that allows you to use the surrounding space as a sensory area in addition to the screen of the device. The inventors have demonstrated a working sample of a cover for the iPhone.

The creators of "smart" Accessories are a group of engineers from Stockholm. They also have developed a free SDK. Prototype cover is able to recognize all the standard gestures, including various combinations of multi-touch. The invention allows to greatly increase the available sensory area, which not only increases the comfort of work with a few smartphones, but also drastically improves the precision of control in a number of tasks.



For example, with such a cover is much easier to do sketches, scroll cards, etc.





As the author of the review with Geek.com Case uses its own sensors instead of the smartphone. Data transfer goes on Bluetooth LE. This assumption is confirmed by the flashing LED in the top right corner of the cover, which can be seen in the videos.

This accessory will not soon fall into the sale, but it is hoped that the inventor will be able to bring it to a commercial level. Indeed, such a simple and compact device can dramatically improve the functional interface of virtually any smartphone.
