Secluded Beach Mar Chiquita in Puerto Rico
In the north of Puerto Rico, about 40 kilometers from San Juan, is an unusual beach of Mar Chiquita, or small sea. Beach oval is located in a small bay, enclosed by stone ocean ridge.
Initially, the ridge was continuous, but then the tidal waves struck loophole. Due to the shape of the bay and the narrow strait in the stone ridge, often in the lagoon there is a strong current with whirlpools. For a long time, Mar Chiquita beach was very secluded. Time goes by, and near buildings began to appear. The popularity of the lagoon is increasing. Almost every day you can find at least a few families on vacation: picnics, swimming, games and building sand castles.
