Battle of the Seelow Heights and the Battle of the Seelow Heights - operation of Soviet troops, carried out within the framework of the Berlin offensive and subsequent battle with German troops defending the Seelow Heights - numerous elevation of natural origin in the form of hills located near the German town of Seelow, about 90 km east of Berlin, near the present border with Poland. The operation was conducted in the period April 16 - May 8, 1945. The battle for the heights lasted three days (from 16 to 19 April 1945). wikipedia
