Earth lights at night

Under the auspices of NASA and a number of organizations, there is an interesting project "Nighttime Lights of the World". It not only publishes pictures of Earth from space night. With the help of meteorological fixed illumination of the night and in the dynamics of the Earth, comparing, laid out maps changes in illumination. The observations have been conducted since 1993.





Red color means new sources of light. From pink to gray - unchanged during this period fires of varying intensity - from high to low. Light and dark blue color indicates the light intensity is decreased. Finally, the blue light is indicated, which ceased to exist. Extinct light.
