National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA announced the names of the astronauts, who in 2020 will travel to Mars.

The selection was attended by more than 6100 people, according to the website NASA. Of those, only eight people have chosen. Gender turned out equally: four women and four men.

"This new space explorers invited to join NASA, because they know that we do big, bold things. Now we are planning a mission to go farther into space than ever before, "- said the director of NASA's Charles Bolden.

Newly Mars explorers passed serious selection. They had to pass a lot of tests, tests and medical examination.

"This year, we chose eight highly qualified professionals who have demonstrated an impressive academic and physical abilities", - said director of operations aircrew Johnson Space Center Janet Kavandi.

So, in the space in 2020 will fly: former military pilot 39-year-old Josh Kassad, test pilot 37-year-old Nick Haigh, Andrew Morgan and Victor Glover, an African American, the military in the US Navy.
And 34-year-old soldier Anne McClain, a researcher in the field of Oceanology Christine Hamok anesthesiologist Meer Jessica and Nicole Mann.

Since August, the astronauts will begin preparing for the flight. If all tests are successful, they will join 48 experienced NASA astronaut scheduled for future missions to Mars.
