In this prison, there are many beaches where prisoners sunbathe in the warm summer months, a number of excellent places for fishing, tennis courts and even a wonderful relaxing sauna.



Rather than wallow in tiny cells, about 115 prisoners on the island of Bastoy live in cozy wooden cottages, and come and go as they please. The only thing they have - it's armed guards and fences with barbed wire, despite the fact that the people staying here were convicted of serious crimes ranging from drug trafficking to rape and murder. However, they use are a way of life for which most people have to pay large sums of money during a two-week vacation.



In this prison, there are a few rules that all prisoners are forced to perform. They have to climb 8:30 am and work until 15:30, and can choose between horticulture, agriculture, care of horses, and lots of other activities. Their salary is $ 10 a day, which can be spent at a local store to buy food, because the prisoners can prepare their own breakfast and lunch.
