Room

Ames room was designed by the artist and psychologist Adelbert Ames in 1946. The distal wall of the room is not at right angles to the side walls, as is usual, but at a very acute angle to one wall and, respectively, at an obtuse angle to the other. Due to the false perspective created including patterns on the walls and floor (in this case - black and white cells), the observer perceives this rectangular room. As a result, an optical illusion, a person standing in the near (to the observer) corner of this room looks giant, and located in the far corner - a dwarf. When moving a person from one corner to another, a feeling that it increases or decreases in size.
