Burning rocks Turkey

At 80 km from Antalya, near the town of Cirali in southwestern Turkey, there is a mountain that literally lit for 2500 years. Stones glow thanks to an underground discharge, mainly composed of hydrogen and methane, both of which are flammable. According to legend this place gave rise to the myth of chimeras - monsters with the head and neck of a lion, body of a goat and the tail of a serpent.

Previously, this place served as a beacon to sailors, but now the lights are mainly used by tourists to cook tea.
