Genoa's Aquarium - the largest aquarium in Italy and the second largest in Europe. Located in the old port of Genoa.
The young, but already is considered to be a popular attraction Aquarium of Genoa, which is the second largest in Europe. On the territory, covering an area of about one hectare, is located thirty-six pools, which today is home to various species of fish and reptiles.
Due to the fact that was based on a natural depression, any inhabitant of marine feels in these pools at home. Every detail is recreated in a familiar habitat of these animals: the simplest creatures, microorganisms, specific plants to which the audience little attention. Exceptions are except aquatic plants that form a real underwater bouquets.
Within each pool built a special passage for visitors, taking advantage of that, you can see how in artificial conditions in the rich flora thrive fish, mammals, and other marine animals, of which there are more than five hundred species.
Interestingly, the aquarium is divided into thematic areas, transitions between which are carried out in the same way as in nature, which means that visitors after traveling the northern seas do not immediately find themselves near the Indian Ocean.
The largest number of tourists can always be found near the aquariums that are home to dolphins, sharks and seals and sea turtles, which are constantly surrounded by shoals of small fish.
