In 2009, the wood of this tree was a little less than 1,500 cubic meters. General Sherman tree grows in the Giant Forest (Eng. Giant Forest), which contains five of the ten largest trees in the world by volume of wood. Giant Forest is connected to the road Generals (Eng. Generals Highway), the grove Grant (Eng. Grant Grove) in the National Park Kings Canyon, where among other redwoods growing tree General Grant (Eng. General Grant tree).
