The Flying Dutchman

Sailing ghost ship "The Flying Dutchman" for centuries managed to grow a variety of legends and rumors. According to one version (Dutch) Captain van Straten vowed to swim along the Cape of Storms (Cape of Good Hope), but the ship sank. Since then, the captain and crew of the dead were to wander forever on the waves near this place. Today I want to show you a detailed photo-story manufacturing model of the ship.

Also see the ship "Queen Anne's Revenge" in the German version of Captain von Falkenberg swimming in the North Sea. Periodically he attended the devil, and the captain played with him in the bone, to stake his soul. The captain lost his soul and became a ghost, which was handed down harsh sentences.
In the version published in 1821 in a British journal, the ship sailed along the Cape of Good Hope, when the storm began. Team begged the captain to change course, to take refuge in the safe harbor, but he refused and ridiculed the men for cowardice. The storm intensified; captain, shaking his fist, cursed God revealed to the test. Immediately she appeared on the deck of a ghost, but combative captain ordered him to get away, threatening to shoot. Seeing that the guest does not obey, the captain drew his revolver and shot at him, but the gun exploded in his hand the captain. Ghost revealed to him the curse of eternal rush of the waves, constantly tormenting sailors. One who sees the doomed ship, expect trouble
