American rover Opportunity found evidence that the Red Planet was once inhabited. On the rock called Esperance found traces of what was once, in the first billion years of the planet, there were neutral water. For the analysis of soil was taken seven attempts, as this place is located near the crater Endurance, covered with a thick layer of Martian dust. Research has shown that the local minerals were formed under the influence of neutral water. It is similar to ordinary water, but has the necessary chemical for life balance. It called neutral water in which either no acid and alkali, or they are present in it in an equal amount. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that on Mars find traces of water. In March, the rover Curiosity Gale Crater were found traces of drinking water in these minerals.
