Purim in Israel

In this festival, as well as on Hanukkah, no prescription abandon work. The main thing - it's joyful celebration and a mandatory exchange of gifts. Purim lasts exactly two days. This year it fell on February 27-28. Purim begins by reading the Book of Esther in the morning and evening prayer, and, in fact, is the basic and crucial part of the holiday.










Speaking about the festive meal, specially for Purim baked triangular cookies with various sweet fillings, called "gomentashn" (Haman's ears - the main villain of the holiday). During the holiday usually worn on a visit sweets, as well as feeding the needy. Purim - carnival holiday, so many tourists come to Israel to observe the colorful carnivals.
