World Championship of Sand Sculpture
Over the weekend in the US town of Fort Myers, Florida, the main competition was held among the masters to create sculptures out of sand. First place in singles won the Canadian Damon Langlois.
Canadian master became the world champion thanks to his sculpture, titled "Fallen Empire". Through its work, the artist-sculptor wanted to bring the public the idea that any totalitarian regime comes to an end, whether it is the Roman Empire, the Third Reich or some other mode of modernity. The festival lasted for eleven days, and the winners were determined last Sunday.
