Grand Central Terminal: a century of history

«Grand Central Station» - Central Station in New York, a hundred years. During this time there was a lot of things, ranging from flourishing and ending almost complete desolation.

Of all, this station is the oldest and most famous in New York. According to the number of platforms and ways, he is the world record holder. It offers passengers 44 platforms and 67 tracks. Initially, the train station at this location has been operational since 1871. However, it was in 1913, was completed on an ambitious reconstruction of the building, which is considered the founding of the «Grand Central Station». By the way, very soon, the station plans to expand, thanks to the construction of one more lower level, which will be located station of the Long Island branch, which will increase the number of ways to the railway station to 75 tracks and 48 platforms.
