The eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland








On the photo taken from a helicopter Icelandic Coast Guard, seen flooding caused by the volcanic eruption in the glacier Eyjafjalla April 14th. On Wednesday, the glacier has melted due to volcanic eruption, causing a major flood that threatened to wash away roads and bridges and forcing hundreds of people to flee their homes.



Glacial river Markarflot west of Glacier Eyjafjalla. During the second eruption of the Icelandic volcano, less than a month, part of the glacier melted, because of what happened to a major flood. As a result, 800 people had to be evacuated and canceled flights over Norway.
