How to sew a knitted hat with your own hands

It's hard to find a hat. While you plan the right one, half a day can pass: the color is not the same, then the style, then the size, then the price is high. There is a way out: sew this thing with your own hands.

Don't worry, it's not that hard. To begin with, sew a universal knitted hat, or, as it is called in the people, a hat-sock.





How to make a hat with your own hands You will need

Procedure

1. Fold the fabric in half, face inside. Then back in half. We will sew a two-layer cap for the 54-56th size of the head.
   
   
   
   
2. Make the pattern as in the figure: 28 cm in height and 22-23 cm in width.
   
   
   
   
3. Apply the pattern to the fabric. Cut the fabric along the perimeter of the pattern, retreating 1 centimeter from the edge. This stock is reserved for stitches. To make it convenient to cut, attach the pattern to the fabric with pins or paint it with a pencil or soap.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Unwrap the fabric. Then fold in half the front side inside and fasten the free edges with pins, as in the photo. These edges form a back seam.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
5. Treat the rear seam on the sewing machine with an overlock or a normal zigzag.
   
   
   
   
6. Also connect the seams located on the front of the cap on the top and bottom.
   
   
   
   
7. Turn the product on the front side and smooth it carefully.
   
   
   
   
8. Fold the hat in two layers so that all the seams coincide. Stick the edges of the hat with needles or sweep away. Then make the top seam on the typewriter. The closed rear seam will look neat and will not cause discomfort when wearing.
   
   
   
   

Turn off your hat and you can go for a walk. Sewing it is quite simple. Knitted fabric does not crumple, does not slide in the hands, does not leave villi. And things from it are worn for a long time, without losing sight after washing.
