MindDrive: world's first car that is powered by tweets and likes
Students from Kansas came up with a very unusual energy resource for electric power. The car they created, called MindDrive is moving due to the pushing by the user Like button in social network Facebоok, as well as the emergence of new tweets in the short message service Twittеr.
Their MindDrive project aimed at the development of "green" technologies. And "likes" on Facebook, as well as new messages on Twitter as a source of energy for the electric car that the guys built based on classic car Volkswagеn, Cogmap Ghiа 1967.
Of course, clicking "Like" on a social network won't generate any real energy. But the creators of MindDrive installed on the machine is a special device that connects the battery with the motor. And it will pass energy in proportion, depending on the activity of the audience on the project page in the network Facebоok, and in the microblogging service Twitter.
So everyone "like" each entry is posted with the hashtags #MINDDRIVE and @minddriveorg, will enable the electric vehicle to travel a certain distance.
The creators of MindDrive said that so they want to draw attention to their "green" initiatives. They also are going to make a rally car from Kansas to Washington to meet in the capital with the legislators and show them their achievements in the field of renewable energy, as well as the educational process.
