Amazing eco-hotel Hotel Seven4one4 in California
Hotel Seven4one4 is an incredible boutique hotel, which was reconstructed and designed by specialists from the American architectural studio HORST Architects in Laguna Beach (California, USA).
The project shows a promising modernized aesthetic and, at the same time, serves as a response to its historical context - the buildings of Laguna Beach and Orange Inn, which were built in the 30s of the last century.
The exterior of the hotel is made of secondary wood, Corten steel and a beautiful green wall, which is created from live plants. The timber used to decorate the establishment was saved during the demolition of houses in East Los Angeles, built in the early 1900s.
Current Corten steel adds to the exterior “earthly” qualities and a touch of time, and a two-storey green wall supports interest in environmentally sustainable architecture among the inhabitants of Laguna Beach and reflects the beauty of the picturesque hills that surround this coastal region.
