In Abu Dhabi created biofuel for bong
The United Arab Emirates is going to give the world a new kind of biofuel created from desert plants. The work has been carried out for at least one year by the Institute of Science and Technology Abu Dhabi.
The research team aimed to study desert plants, which are known for their miraculous resistance to carbon dioxide. It is this property of desert plants that prompted scientists to think that it is from such plants that you can make a beautiful, relatively “green” biofuel.
The wording about the “purity ratio” of biofuels may sound rude, but it is worthwhile to understand that this kind of fuel in the end is not much different from gasoline. During the splitting of biological fuel, the same set of gases is released as in the splitting of gasoline. Desert plants emit less carbon, which means that the fuel from them could be cleaner. Ultimately, it is not only whether the environment is polluted during the production of biofuels, but also whether it is polluted during its use.
Scientists from the UAE did not have to guess for a long time. The first attempts to create biotypic from desert plants gave a positive result. “Green” turned out not only the procedure for the production of fuel, but also the fuel itself. The level of air pollution with such fuel is reduced by 50-70% compared to the average gasoline.
The resulting fuel scientists hope to apply in the field of aviation.
However, scientists will have to work on their biofuel from herbs and cacti for a very long time. Now the cost of this ecological miracle is too high, and the rate of production, for industrial scales, is waiting, to put it mildly, to be desired. University staff, however, does not stop, they even expressed the idea that with the help of “fuel plantations” it would be possible to green the desert and combat desertification of land.
