The 10 Best Grades of Macher Early Tulips
Currently, all varieties of tulips are divided into 15 garden classes. Among them, the small class of Makhrov Early, which is only 5.5%, stands out for its early, very spectacular, bright, terry flowering, which lasts more than 2 weeks!
It is no coincidence that representatives of this class are increasingly found in suburban areas. They are loved, and therefore plants respond to this love, care with their luxurious flowering.
Information about the time of the appearance of these tulips is contradictory: some argue that representatives of this class appeared in the XVII century, others argue with them and suggest that tulips of this garden class appeared much later in the XIX century.
All varieties are short, 20-30 cm high. Flowers are strong, confidently carrying large (diameter 8-15 cm) heavy flowers.
They are good in spring flower curbs and in the foreground of flower beds.
They are used for extraction in January-February.
Especially interesting are the varieties of Monte Carlo.
A very beautiful variety with purely yellow large terry flowers reaching a diameter of 10 cm. The variety was created by Nisen in 1955. The flower foliage is low - 15-20 cm, durable. Resistant to bad weather surprises and diseases. The 'Abba' variety
Amazing beauty red terry very low variety up to 10 cm high. Blooming for over 2 weeks. Steady. Good in low early spring curbs.
"Monte Orange"
One of my favorites in this class. It is very beautiful with its large orange flowers. The peduncle is 15 cm high. Steady.
Montreux variety
A fragrant variety with large white terry flowers. Its beauty, complemented by an exquisite floral aroma - beyond all competition! Blossoms and fragrant varieties for a long time: more than 2 weeks.
"Queen of Marve"
Luxury lilac-pink variety created in 1982 by Dekker. A little higher than his classmates: it is up to 40-50 cm high, the flower-bearer is durable, the leaves are green. Good for cutting and distilling in the winter-spring period: in January-March. Resistant to bad weather surprises and diseases.
"Orange Princess"
A cheerful variety with an orange color of petals, giving a cheerful mood. The flower plant is durable, 15-20 cm high.
The Freeman variety.
Chic orange variety with large terry flowers, with a diameter of 12-15 cm. The stem is strong, the leaves are green. Resistant to weather and disease.
Monsella variety
Very bright two-color (yellow with red stripes) variety. Flower with a diameter of 12 cm. The peduncle is 15-20 cm high. The variety was created by Bakker Bros in 1981. The stem is strong, the leaves are green. Resistant to bad weather surprises and diseases.
It's called 'Maffer Red'.
An unusual variety, from afar similar to poppy, with a bright red, scarlet color of large terry flowers that reach a diameter of 12 cm.
Verona variety
A very delicate variety with cream terry flowers, with a diameter of 9-10 cm. The grade is 20-30 cm high. Good for cutting and distilling in the winter-spring period: in January-March. Resistant to bad weather surprises and diseases.
Early tulips do not give many daughter bulbs, but they are not capricious in care: they are also cared for as well as any other tulips growing in your country. To preserve the variety, bulbs are dug every year.
