One of such concepts is the SAM socket, which developers are trying to raise funds for the serial production of the device, on Kickstarter. As planned by the developer, the device will be available in two formats – SAM Strip – surge protector and more compact analogue one plug SAM Plug.





Both versions are equipped with integrated sensors for motion, temperature and lighting that can be adjusted outlets for various factors. For example, if the room temperature exceeds a certain threshold, it automatically switches to pre-connected fan. And when it's dark in the room turn on the lamp. All settings the user can control through special software on a smartphone. Also worth noting is the presence of a pair of USB ports provided for charging gadgets.
