Playground of solar panels +video
The Dutch company Innosport has successfully implemented the design and installation of the world's first sports field with a removable surface consisting of a rotating multi-faceted panels. This project is based on the results of the work of the team of designers from the faculty of industrial design engineering Technical University Delft.
In conditions of lack of space in big cities, the designers were able to offer a compact solution in the form of a multipurpose sports facility: the coating is a panel with facets that form during the rotation of the football field with artificial grass, basketball court, or a Billboard. The fourth side panels is covered with solar panels, which due to the rotation can be tilted to the optimum angle towards the sun.
When the site is not used for sports purpose, it is not idle in vain, and for seven minutes turns into a solar power. Eight motors, torque 12 modules are supplied with energy produced by solar panels. Energy self-sufficient object Sportveld not only produces electricity, but also can be used for tasks such as collecting and filtering rainwater.
