In Cornwall, the war of people with hungry gulls
The real war unfolded in the village where menacing seagulls trying to take control of the village.
The idyllic fishing village is under siege menacing gulls that beat their beaks on the kitchen window demanding food. The picture really resembles the footage of the famous Alfred Hitchcock movie, "Birds", where gulls also attack people.
Winged scavengers have become a constant menace in seaside community of Mevagissey, Cornwall, where they pounce on food in the hands of people, and tearing garbage bags left on the streets, usipa their garbage.
Cornwall Council has pulled out heavy-duty trash bags, to put an end to the carnage but locals now say that birds began to behave more brazenly.
Andy's house (Andy House) that works in "Buckingham House Bed and Breakfast" (hotel with accommodation serving breakfasts), said, "we Have them in the village a big problem — they are absolute evil."
"We have a patio at the B&B with sliding doors where we usually feed our lovely dog Bertie."
"But we had to move the food, because the birds persistently tapped on the glass, trying to get food."
"They clap their beaks in front of the door to the patio that turns out to be a very loud noise."
"The force with which they hit the glass, the incredible is much louder than if I was a beaten man. Sounds like they are going to break the glass."
Andy, who worked at the B&B for seventeen years, said that the "incredibly bold" seagulls even flew inside, flying above the food and other goods.
"If you leave a normal trash bag on the street for five or ten minutes he will be torn to shreds."
"If they see the opportunity to dine — they will certainly use it. You won't be able to sit and eat fish and chips in the harbour as they pounce on you."
