By 2040, the market leader in renewable energy will not be solar, and wind energy

In the annual energy report 2015 US Energy Information Administration (EIA) released data, which witnessed annual growth of electricity consumption by 0.8% in the whole world.

However, with this increase the share of renewable energy and natural gas consumption. In particular, as of 2013 the U.S. share of energy use from renewable sources in the total energy segment increased to 13 %. According to the EIA forecasts, to 2040, this figure will increase to 18% due to the increase in the number of wind energy facilities and solar energy facilities, which is 2/3 of the capacity of the sector of alternative energy.

It is expected that solar energy will become a source of energy production in the segment of renewable energy that will grow faster, but the wind farm will have the largest share in total energy production among renewable energy sources. Experts believe that wind will become the largest source of renewable generation by 2040, displacing hydropower from the position as the largest source of renewable energy.

It should be noted that now the leaders in alternative energy production is China, USA, India, UK, Italy and Germany.published
