The mysterious megaliths of the Bada valley

Look at Palindo is the majestic guardian of the valley Bud (Indonesia), which looks warily at the strangers.

Who are they? Why did you come to this valley, nestled among the Equatorial forests of Indonesia?

Expeditions get to these places. But get, because the mind of the researcher does not tolerate unsolved mysteries.

... Carved from solid blocks of stone statues standing singly or in groups near the old graves. Growth — from one to four and a half meters.

The statue is distinguished by phallic form, stylized features, indistinct made hands. Bulging eyes, eyebrows and nose, sculptured in one piece, give them some family resemblance. However, each statue is individual and carries its own name. They all have a gender, but only a quarter of them depicts women.

And some do not look human — like statue of Gyula Fight, whose reclining body, half submerged in the land of rice fields, more reminiscent of Buffalo.

Most of the stone faces turned towards the setting sun and the Kingdom of the Supreme deity, Puang Matua...

Scientists suggest that many of the statues of Bada valley were created between 3000 BC and 1600 BC And it is likely that these megaliths were erected to honor ancestors and represent a special place where the spirits of their ancestors descend to earth and where the living can communicate with spirits, to praise them or to pray for the protection, harvest...

But what civilization built these stone creatures, the guardians of the valley Bud? While there is no answer.

Just in this County discovered more than 400 granite megaliths, of which about 30 represent human sculpture of ancient origin. They vary in size from a few centimeters to 4.5 meters. The original purpose of creating these megalithic forms is unknown.

Other megaliths are in the form of large plates (Kalamba) and stone plates (Tutu'na).

Some argue that the megaliths installed on the site of mass human sacrifice, others say that the stone statue is guarded by evil spirits. And they say that these statues – petrified villains, and some even believe that they are able to move.

Baffled, and another amazing fact associated with the megaliths of Bada: the fact that the statues are made of stone, which is not mined in the County. A mystery, as they say.published
