Miracle camp for people suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's

Diseases of dementia and Alzheimer's are very heavy. With them is not easy to master in medical and social terms. Center Hogvey (Hogeway) in the Netherlands has applied a completely new approach to these diseases, creating a unique indoor playground, where residents can live freely and enjoy a normal life.



This town is located near the town of Visp and it has everything you need. Shops, parks, restaurant, bar and theater. The town built 23 houses, inhabited by 153 elderly man suffering from dementia and diseases Altsgeymera.



The center was designed by the architectural firm Molenaar & Bol & VanDillen and opened in 2009. It cost the government 17.8 million euros and 1.5 million allocated charities. One resident of the town still manages at 5, 000 euros per mesyats.
