Compare the sizes of the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko with spaceships from fiction and real cities
Death Star. As without it?
Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko - quite a large object, the length of the comet is about 4 kilometers. It's in the pictures it looks Rosetta station is not very big, the reality is different.
To get a real understanding of the size of the comet, the artist Christopher Beck (Christopher Becke) made several comparative illustrations. The illustrations - comet close to the most famous starship of SF works. Also shown are the real and the city, yet again, in comparison with the comet.
Comparison of the comet with the cities already carried out by scientists from ESA, and not Christopher (artist's website with all such illustrations - here ). It looks no less impressive.
