One of the "gems" of Namibia - Etosha National Park ("Great White Place") covers an area of ​​over 22 thousand square kilometers in the northern part of the country, around the huge tectonic basin Etosha Pan (millions of years ago it was a vast lake). The park is famous for its flora and fauna (114 species of mammals, 50 species of snakes and 340 species of birds).





Reserve Etosha, which this year celebrated its 102 years, was established in 1907 and was considered the largest in the world until 1960, when, for political reasons it was reduced by three quarters. But even today it remains one of the biggest in Africa. Its landscape dense thickets interspersed with open plains.
