Supernova

Thanks to modern telescopes, astronomers Heidelberg (Germany) failed again to trace the supernova explosion of the 16th century!

1. In the autumn of 1572 appeared in the sky a star that shone brighter than all the rest. In April 1574 she again disappeared. Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe, thanks to accurate estimates, calculated that the object was supposed to be much farther from the earth than the moon ...

2. In this photo with a combination of UV and X-rays can be seen the remains of the explosion, which occurred over 400 years ago. White dwarf stars from the left only a cloud temperature of several million degrees (pictured in yellow and green)
