The Mi-28N "Night Hunter" has a special system to protect pilots and can "see" the enemy at a distance of 35 kilometers in the dark.

However, the main strength of "Night Hunter" - is anti-tank missiles "Attack" against which not stand any one enemy tank.
"Night Hunter" is equipped with a special system survivability. Helicopters designed in such a way as to best protect the crew - a fully armored cab stand even a direct hit 12.7 mm bullets. The crew is in a special way - the pilot's seat is situated above the arrow, thus managed to make the car more flat, and therefore less vulnerable in combat.
Mi-28N "Night Hunter" has received the Russian Army. In the first place they will equip the military district in the Caucasus and the Far East.
Day and night combat helicopter Mi-28NE action is a double (pilot and navigator-operator) helicopter classic single-rotor scheme with a five-blade main rotor, and X-shaped tail rotor controlled stabilizer wheel fixed landing gear with tail wheel. removable movable gun mount NPPU-28N with gun 2A42 of 30 mm caliber with 250 rounds ammunition;
universal gun pods UPK-23-250 (2 pieces) with the gun GSH-23L caliber 23 mm ammunition and 250 rounds in each container;
antitank missile system 9-A2313 "Attack-In" guided missile 9M120, 9M120F 9A-2200 (16 pcs);
guided missiles with thermal homing "Igla" (8 pcs);
rockets C-8 80 mm caliber in blocks B8V20-A (up to 4 units);
unguided rockets C-13 caliber 122 mm B13L1 blocks (up to 4 units);
standardized containers of small loads KMGU-2 (up to 4 units).
The helicopter is equipped with a complex avionics and instrumentation (avionics), ensuring the use of weapons and the decision of flight and navigation tasks day and night in simple and adverse weather conditions at extremely low altitudes with automatic terrain following and obstacle flyby.
OEE also provides control over the work of the power plant and other systems; voice announcement of the crew; radio communication between the helicopter and ground stations; communication between crew members and record their talks.
