"Stalingrad" Bondarchuk went with Oscar

The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and released a short list of films in a foreign language submitted to a further vote of academics for the award "Oscar».

As a correspondent reported. ITAR-TASS reported the press service of the academy, the list includes nine films from Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, Germany, Cambodia, Hungary, Italy, Palestine, as well as band director from Hong Kong.

Thus, a film by Russian director Fyodor Bondarchuk's "Stalingrad" was out of the Oscar race.

The names of the nominees for the most prestigious award in the film world will be announced January 16, 2014. Awarding ceremony will be held on March 2 at the entertainment complex Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles.
