Little Mermaid at the parade
In New York, on the peninsula of Coney Island Mermaid Parade held annually (Mermaid Parade), which has been held for more than 25 consecutive years. Holiday Mermaid Parade, dedicated to the summer, the sea breeze and salt water are themselves a colorful procession of people dressed in a variety of costumes, though not always directly related to the sea.
The first parade was held at Brooklyn, part of which is Coney Island, in 1983, becoming the continuation of traditional activities in honor of the celebration of Mardi Gras, celebrated in New York in the years 1903-1954.
